MAP AND DIRECTIONS

Principal Park is located at the confluence of the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers just south of downtown Des Moines. From eastbound Interstate 235, take the Martin Luther King Junior Parkway exit and continue south on Martin Luther King, Jr. for approximately one mile. Once you have passed under Grand Avenue and pass over the bridge, Martin Luther King, Jr. will jog left at the next stoplight. Follow it left to Third Street.  Make a right onto Third Street.  Principal Park will be on your left.  Look for the lights!

 

From westbound Interstate 235, take the Third Street exit.  Follow Third Street south and turn left on Line Drive, This will lead directly to Principal Park.
