Three run lead disappears in late innings

San Antonio, TX—The San Antonio Missions rallied to hand the Arkansas Travelers a 6-5 loss in walk-off fashion in the series opener on Tuesday night at Wolff Municipal Stadium. Pinch-hitter Juan Fernandez lined the second pitch he saw from Travis Kuhn through the left-center field gap to score the tying

San Antonio, TX—The San Antonio Missions rallied to hand the Arkansas Travelers a 6-5 loss in walk-off fashion in the series opener on Tuesday night at Wolff Municipal Stadium. Pinch-hitter Juan Fernandez lined the second pitch he saw from Travis Kuhn through the left-center field gap to score the tying and winning runs. Arkansas had led by as many as three runs on two different occasions earlier in the game. Starter Stephen Kolek battled through five innings, handing a lead to the bullpen. The offense broke loose early putting up four runs in the fourth inning.

Moments That Mattered

* Joe Rizzo drove home two on a bases loaded double in the second inning but a third runner was thrown out at the plate.

* After a lead off double in the ninth inning, Kuhn issued a pair of walks setting the stage for the dramatic finish.
