Grasshoppers Drop to the Tourists, 9-7

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped to the Asheville Tourists 9-7 on Friday, May 19. The Tourists improved to 16-19 on the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 20-17. Asheville outhit Greensboro 10-7 with two Tourists' mishaps. Leading at the dish for the Grasshoppers was Wyatt Hendrie going 2-4

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Greensboro Grasshoppers dropped to the Asheville Tourists 9-7 on Friday, May 19. The Tourists improved to 16-19 on the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 20-17. Asheville outhit Greensboro 10-7 with two Tourists' mishaps.

Leading at the dish for the Grasshoppers was Wyatt Hendrie going 2-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Tsung-Che Cheng tallied a home run as Mike Jarvis recorded a triple.

Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Bubba Chandler as he tallied one strikeout and gave up three hits, four earned runs, and five free bases on 2.1 innings of work. Mitchell Miller took the loss for the Grasshoppers and moved to 3-2 on the season.

Ronny Garcia recorded the win for the Tourists and moved to 2-0 on the season.
