Fisher Cats Broadcast Information

Tyler Murray and Bob Lipman will once again bring Fisher Cats baseball to the airwaves, with all 120 games airing on the team's flagship station, AM 610 WGIR. Nathan Strauss and Joe Weill will handle select broadcast duties as well. Every home game will also be available in high definition on MiLB.TV.

Tyler Murray enters his sixth season as the Fisher Cats lead broadcaster, and his 10th season in minor league baseball. He spent a combined four seasons with the Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto's Advanced-A Affiliate) & Daytona Tortugas (Cincinnati Reds Advanced-A Affiliate), and was voted Florida State League Broadcaster of the Year in 2015. The Nashua resident is the play-by-play voice of Dartmouth Football and Hockey on ESPN+, and also broadcasts UMass Hockey on NESN and UMass Basketball on WEEI Springfield. Murray was on the call for a number of 2021 Hockey East Tournament games on NESN, including the Men's First Round, Quarterfinals, and Semifinals, as well as the Women's Championship Game. Over the past two seasons, Murray has been invited to broadcast Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training games on the Sportsnet Radio Network and He also provides play-by-play for the New Balance Future Stars Series, which showcases high school baseball prospects from across the country and around the world at big league venues like Fenway Park.

Bob Lipman, a six-time NSMA New Hampshire Sportscaster of the Year award winner, has been broadcasting games for the Fisher Cats since the team's inaugural season in 2004. Lipman has seen the team move from Gill Stadium to Northeast Dental Dental Stadium (2005), win three championships (2004, 2011, 2018), host three All-Star Games (2008, 2011, 2017), and send over 120 players to the major leagues. As the team's unofficial historian, Lipman handles the Fisher Cats media guide, all-time roster, and so much more. He is also the radio voice of UNH Football, and broadcasts a variety of sports for Dartmouth, Southern New Hampshire University, and a variety of high schools.

Nathan Strauss enters his first season in minor league baseball, and will anchor Fisher Cats pre- and post-game coverage during home games throughout the season A native of Boston, he brings four years of broadcast experience at the college level. Strauss is the incoming Sports Director for WMUA, UMass Amherst Student Radio, and over his college career he has called basketball, baseball, soccer, and lacrosse for radio and on ESPN+. This past spring, Strauss also called Women's National Invitational Tournament games on both radio and TV.

Joe Weil joins the Fisher Cats broadcast team with four years of MiLB broadcasting experience under his belt. He spent 2016-2019 with the Winston-Salem Dash, the Chicago White Sox High-A affiliate, and was named the 2019 Carolina League Broadcaster of the Year. Since moving to Massachusetts in 2020, Weil has broadcasted winter and spring sports for Holy Cross, UMass Lowell, UMass Boston and Boston College and has worked as a web producer for WBZ-TV in Boston. In addition to his previous duties with the Dash, the New Jersey native was a studio host at Learfield IMG College in Winston-Salem, having served three years as the radio pregame, halftime and postgame host for Notre Dame football on their nationwide radio network. Weil graduated from Boston University in 2015 with a broadcast journalism degree.
