Excite Ballpark Entrance Procedures

The information reflected here has been approved by the Santa Clara County Department of Health as it pertains to the State of California's reopening announcement on June 15. These procedures are in effect for games starting on Tuesday, June 22. Information is subject to change.

It has been so great to see everyone back at the Ballpark this year! We know a lot has changed, but our commitment to our fans stays the same: We aim to provide a safe, clean, and fan-friendly environment for you to enjoy Giants Baseball.

With the Governor's announcement regarding California's reopening, the San Jose Giants are thrilled to welcome our Giant fans back in full capacity for the remainder of the season! Please read the below list of entrance and ballpark procedures that will be in place for games starting on June 22 and beyond.

Advanced online ticket sales will continue to be encouraged prior to the day of the game. However, starting on June 22, there will be walk-up tickets available for day of game purchases or during regular business hours. The Excite Ballpark Box Office will be open for ticket sales on game days starting five hours before first pitch and closing 1 1/2 hours after first pitch. On non-game days, the inside Box Office is open Monday-Friday 10 am - 5 pm.

The Excite Ballpark grandstand and group areas have been returned to full capacity seating! Please note that previous year's "General Admission" seating has now been updated to Bowl Reserved tickets. This means that every person entering the ballpark has a ticketed seat location.

Ballpark staff will be stationed at each section to ensure attendees are accessing the correct seating areas.

Face Coverings & Personal Protective Equipment

Per CDC guidance and the June 15 State of California Reopening Announcement, masks are not required for vaccinated individuals at Excite Ballpark. Non-vaccinated individuals are recommended to wear face coverings when unable to maintain proper physical distancing.

Excite Ballpark staff will continue to be required to wear a face covering which covers the nose and mouth.

Physical Distancing

Beginning on Tuesday, June 22, Excite Ballpark will not require socially distant seating pods. We do ask that you be respectful of those around you and when visiting the concourse, please refrain from congregating and forming long lines.

Autographs and player interactions are prohibited due to MILB health protocols.

Bag Policy

To enhance public safety, Excite Ballpark will be adopting a CLEAR BAG ONLY policy for the 2021 season and beyond. All bags that enter the ballpark must be clear to allow bag checkers to easily see contents inside the bag and avoid touching. Exceptions to this policy will be made for small clutch purses (4.5" x 6.5" w/ single zipper/flap closure) and medically necessary items (including diaper bags).

Blankets or jackets must be worn or carried and cannot be put in bags.

Parking at Excite Ballpark

Due to Sharks Ice Construction in the main parking lot, the San Jose Giants have three (3) designated parking lots for the 2021 season:

  • San Jose Giants Main Lot - $15
  • San Jose State Golf Lot - $15
  • Happy Hollow K1 Lot (Senter Road) - $10

Parking lots are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Parking staff and signs will be visible at each location dictating when lots become full, directing you to the next available parking lot. Please note that on Friday Night Firework Games, the San Jose Giants Main Lot is reserved for Season Ticket Members with an Excite Ballpark parking pass.

Tailgating in the main lot is allowed 2 hours prior to the game when parking lots open. Spaces are limited and first-come-first-serve. No open flame or coal BBQ's will be allowed due to Sharks Ice Construction. Unfortunately tailgating in the San Jose State Golf Lot and Happy Hollow K1 lot is not allowed per their rules regulations.

Food & Beverage

Food and Beverage at Excite Ballpark will continue to follow all State and County guidelines regarding food sales. We are also thrilled to welcome back popular food destinations like the Pizza Stand and Third Base Taco Concession Booth.

Outside food and beverage is prohibited. The only exceptions to this policy include unopened soft-sided water bottles and empty canteens.

In compliance with State Guidelines, the San Jose Giants will be encouraging cashless transactions at this time.

On-Field Activities

Autographs and player interactions are prohibited due to MILB health protocols.

We will also go back to in person National Anthems starting on June 22! However, in-game activities like on-field promotions will continue to take place in the Excite Credit Union Family Zone in accordance with Minor League Baseball protocols for the 2021 season.

We are happy to still provide the opportunity for Kids to Run the bases after designated Saturday and Sunday home games.
