21 Indians Alums Open Season on MLB Rosters

SPOKANE, Wash. - The 2022 MLB season kicked off today with a total of 21 former Spokane Indians players opening the year on big league rosters. The New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers each have a total of three Indians alums on their rosters, while the Baltimore

SPOKANE, Wash. - The 2022 MLB season kicked off today with a total of 21 former Spokane Indians players opening the year on big league rosters. The New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers each have a total of three Indians alums on their rosters, while the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, and Seattle Mariners each have a pair of former Spokane players. Kansas City Royals Opening Day starter Zack Greinke ('02) is the longest tenured member with Inland Northwest roots - having pitched for the Indians two decades ago - and Cleveland Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase ('18) is the most recent to have spent time in Spokane.

The Spokane Indians open their 2022 season against the Vancouver Canadians on Friday, April 8th at Avista Stadium with Opening Night Fireworks & AAA Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Corwin Ford, KREM 2, and 93.7 The Mountain. ABOUT THE SPOKANE INDIANS

The Spokane Indians are the High-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies located in Spokane, Washington, and were named 2021 MiLB Organization of the Year. Avista Stadium is home to the MultiCare Kids Bench Seat. Parking at all Spokane Indians games is FREE. The Spokane Indians office and team store hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays. On game days, the office and team store are open from 10:00 AM through the end of the game.
