(SUGAR LAND, Texas)Corey Julks delivered one of the best power performances in all of Minor League Baseball in May, leading the Pacific Coast League with 10 homers during the month.

The calendar has flipped to June, and the homers have kept on coming for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys outfielder.

He hit a two-run shot Thursday night in an 8-5 Space Cowboys loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes at Constellation Field.

Julks, who was named the Space Cowboys May Player of the Month, has homered 11 times over his last 19 games, hitting .366 (15x41) over that stretch. His two-run homer in the third, which left his bat at 107.6 mph, was his team-leading 12th of the season. He’s tied for third in the PCL in the category.

The home run from Julks came just two batters after a solo homer from Franklin Barreto. It was Barreto’s fifth home run of the year and he finished the night 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

A three-run third from the Space Cowboys made it a 5-3 game. They closed the gap to one run in the eighth on an RBI single from Scott Manea.

Albuquerque tacked on three in the ninth thanks in part to a two-run homer from Carlos Perez. Sugar Land tacked on another run in the ninth on an RBI single from Lewis Brinson.

JJ Matijevic finished the night 1-for-5, extending his hitting streak to 17 games, which is the longest active MiLB hitting streak.

The Space Cowboys and Isotopes open the second half of their series at 7:05 p.m. on Friday at Constellation Field. Peter Solomon will take the mound for the Space Cowboys, with Albuquerque turning to Ashton Goudeau.
